Shoot 9 - Work Diary:

Shoot 9 - Work diary:

My aim for shoot 9 is to capture the sun as it sets. This is carrying on from my exam shoots where I captured the sunrise. I hope that in this shoot I am able to show a full sunset and show the journey from the start to the end. I think that this would be a nice way to end my project as it shows a full journey.

Progression:

Once I had determined the correct camera settings for this shoot (mainly f5.6 ISO 800) I decided I would get the best results by staying in the same place and trying to catch the differences in the sky. Overall I think that the shoot was a success as all of the images show how the colours of the sky changed and saw the sun as it set.

This is an image that i took early on into the sunset. What i like about this image is that the sun is still high enough so that you can see it in full, however it is noticeable that it is beginning to go down. The most noticeable thing about this image is probably the composition with it being taken at an angle, this makes it interesting and more original than just a simple landscape in the style of Ansel Adams.

This is the final image that I took during the sunset. Here you can see how the sun has set behind a hill and can no longer be seen. However what makes this image more interesting is the colours of the sky. The increase in the amounts of yellow and orange make the image more interesting and natural.
