Internet image:
This is a image taken from the internet of the sign for Brick Lane in London. In this image the sign is in the middle of the frame with the rest of the frame being filled with bricks of the wall that the sign is on. The sign is well exposed in the image with it being clear and easy to read. The image was taken from a straight on view again making it really easy to read. The use of colour in this image shows all the different shades of red and brown in the bricks.
My image:
This is a image taken from my exam shoot. In this image i decided that signs would be a way of telling a journey. This image also helps to show some of the places that i went to while on this shoot. I decided to make a multiple imagery from these images, including one that says Brick Lane like the image above. In all of mine i decided to take the photo from a different angle each time. I think that this helps to make the image more interesting as helps to portray some of the street. I also decided to make my image black and white i think that this allows for all of the images to fit nicely together and balance them out as well as make it more attractive to look at.
Overall, the significance of the signs is to tell the journey of a persons location, this is something that the two images have in common. Both images work at doing so, while the one from the internet only shows one location, my image shows multiple joined together to show more of a journey. Also the use of tone in my image is somewhere where these images differ it helps to date the images slightly.
