Internet image:
This image taken from the internet, shows the Southbank when lit up at night. The composition of the image is intriguing as by having it at the end of the frame, the photographer has been able to compliment their image with the surroundings of the eye but without making them a focus for the photograph. The reflection also makes this image interesting as you can clearly see the different colours of light in the water contrasting them with the dark colours of the night and the water.
My image:
This is an example of my image also based around the Southbank, however my image is taken from the different side of the river and has also been framed at the alternative side. I like the fact that within this image you can see the outline of Big Ben due to all of the lights around it. I also like the framing of this image with it not being too big making the focus get lost within it, nor is it too cropped making the image look squashed.
Overall both images are incredibly similar with the most noticeable difference being the angles in which they were taken. However something that my images lacks that i may be more considerate of in the future is the reflection of the lights in the water.
