Internet image:
This is an image from Mark Hamlin a landscape and wildlife photographer whom i studied during my research. Something that i love in the this image is the way that the sun is shinning through the trees creating shadows as well as a spotlight within the image. This is really effective way of showing light in this image as you are looking at one location that has multiple different shades of light within it. This allows for some aspects of the image to be brighter than others with this creating a contrast of the different colours.
My image:
This is an image that i took during my sunset shoot. Here I was walking up a hill to try and find the best place to try and capture the majority of the sunset and saw the sun shinning through the trees. What i really enjoy here is the way that the grass and the trees have shadowed around the sun helping to compliment it and making it standout. A contrast in the sky is created the most of it looking orange where the sun is reflecting, and a small amount of blue sky occurring in the left corner. It wasn't until was editing this image that I had actually photographed it with my dad in the frame walking up the hill, not only does this help to convey the idea of a journey but i think that it makes it more interesting and original.
The journey that both of these images are conveying is the sunrising or setting behind and tree but still shinning through. The image by Hamblin has a lot my nature within it, with my image being a lot more empty within the frame. I think that this helps to make each of the images just as effective as it compliments the setting of the image. My image differs from the internet one by choosing to include a person within the shot, i think this examples how i was using the photographer as inspiration but decided to make it more original and personal to me.
