Final evaluation:

Now that unit 4 of photography has come to end i feel that my technical skills has advanced where i have found my self being more exploratory with my camera and its settings. For this unit i decided that the topic i would be looking at would be 'The Journey'. After researching well known photographers such as William Eggleston and some not as well known such as Kris Massey, if felt that a strong idea for me was going to be location photography and decided that none of my shoots would be studio based. A common location for me in this unit has been London with it also being apart of my exam. London for me is one of my favourite places, i love the fact that wherever you go there is always something new for you to explore, i felt this would be a good place to look at journey as you could do so by looking at sourrundings as well as looking at people within London and their journeys.

Another topic i looked at was nature, in my exam i photographed the sunrise followed by a sunset shoot towards the end of my unit. I also went on some walks an decided to document my journey, one of these involved my dog where i decided to look at the journey of a pet. In many of my images i decided that i would keep the editing very minimalistic as i didn't want to take away the beauty of the nature. I found that many of the images i produced told the stories themselves with not much explanation being needed.

As a whole i have throughly enjoyed this unit and i feel i have produced some of my best work in photogrpahy. I feel that this time i was able to experiment my camera more with me photographing at night as well as the sun. Another improvment i feel i have made has been to my vocabulary skills, i feel that with my knowledge of photography this has allowed this to grow meaning my analyse of images has become much stronger.  This has been my favourite unit of all and i feel has helped me to develop the style of photography i enjoy the most, which is street photography. I feel that i will be continuing to develop this further in the future using this unit as a starting place for me to advance.
