Shoot 2 - Work diary:

My second shoot for this unit was a carry on from shoot 2, however this time I decided to look at people in London and their journeys. I think that this shoot is a new topic that i can look at further into my unit as it is more personal and interesting. Again with this shoot I decided that I was keeping the editing simple and felt that this was the best way in which I can show personal journey.

Progression:

I think that this an example of an idea that I can take further throughout my project. Signs are everywhere when people go out, telling you street names, giving directions or rules, or telling you the purpose of the place or thing. This image is an example of signs and how they can direct a person on a journey they are on going. This image of the London Tube Map is an example of signs showing a journey of travelling from one side of London to the other. Something that I find interesting about this image is the composition the line showing all of the stops going into the distance is a demonstration of how a journey is taking place.  

This is another image from my shoot, this is an example of where I began to look at personal journeys. This is a image that I took while at Canary Wharf. Here my idea was to observe people on their daily business and try and capture the journey that they are going on. In this image it looks as if the men in the photo are on a lunch break from the office and are taking a general walk engrossed in conversation. This is an example of a personal journey even though its something so simple.

This shoot has been effective for me as it has helped me to outline new ideas for future shoots and how my work can be developed from this point. It has helped me to further this idea of journey as well as think of new ideas under the same topic.
