Mark Hamblin has been working as a freelance photographer since 1955. He developed a love for nature and wildlife from a early age. Hamblin commonly contributed to many leading wildlife magazines where he has commonly featured examples of his work. As apart of his photography he has been able to travel to the world and explore new and exciting places.
Hamblin's work has as been a influence to my work as I enjoy the landscapes at he is able to capture beautiful sun rises and scenes of light in many of his images making his images have interesting light aspects to them with them often appearing with many different tones within them.
This image is another example of his work based around sunsets, in this one the sun has already set with the image focusing on the colours of the sky once this has happened. What makes this original is the reflection in the water highlighting the strong tones of red and orange with the yellow fading out like the sun. This hole idea has been an inspiration for a shoot for me as I think that looking at the sunset and the sunrise would be an interesting natural journey to look at.
These two images are examples of Hamblins work and how he uses the sun and sunsets within his pieces often. His composition in the top image makes it more interesting with the sun going of into the distance and the clouds following it. The light in this image emphasises on the blue sky as well as the different shades of the ground.
This is an example of Hamblin's landscape photography here i feel that the composition is something rather interesting as the tops of the tress have been cropped out of the image to ensure that the sun can be focused on though the trees. I find this another interesting way of looking at sunset/sunrise photography as its original and looks how nature complies with each other.
This is an example of his more nature based work. This is another interesting landscape with the birds flying into the distance, this is an idea of show an animals journey again within the idea of nature. Something that really stands out in this image is the colours of the sky the complimentary colours of the pink with the purple add a subtle look to the sky that is fathered by the look of fog at the bottom of the image.
